MiraDry® Treatment
MiraDry is a non-invasive procedure that targets and eliminates the sweat and odour glands in the underarm using controlled electromagnetic energy.
How it works
- A handheld device delivers precise thermal energy to the sweat glands
- A cooling system protects the surface of the skin during treatment
- The targeted glands are permanently destroyed through a process called thermolysis
Since underarm glands make up only about 2% of all sweat glands in the body, removing them does not affect the body’s ability to regulate temperature.
What to Expect After Treatment
- Most patients can return to work the next day
- Strenuous exercise should be avoided for approximately 7 days
- Ice packs and mild pain relief may be recommended to manage temporary swelling or tenderness
